All of you metalheads get your devilhorns in the air...

6.6.06 isn't a date that comes around very often (once per century, to be exact), and while plenty of stupid horror movies and terrible albums will be released for the hype value of the day that bears "the number of the beast", we here at NDoS decided that this would be a perfect day for Hessians across the country to come together and engage in something upon which we can all agree - listening to Slayer!

Here is how one is to Celebrate the National Day of Slayer...

Listen to Slayer at full blast in your car.
Listen to Slayer at full blast in your home.
Listen to Slayer at full blast at your place of employment.
Listen to Slayer at full blast in any public place you prefer.

DO NOT use headphones! The objective of this day is for everyone within earshot to understand that it is the National Day of Slayer. National holidays in America aren't just about celebrating; they're about forcing it upon non-participants.

And if you are of the type that would like to take their participation to a problematic level...

Yeah, I won't post some of those, but this one is good...

Play Slayer covers with your own band (since 99% of your riffs are stolen from Slayer anyway).

Well, I've listened to him since his Misfit days. I like the Danzig work better. It seems only slightly less campy to me. I was good up until Black Aria then I kinda faded. I'm 'evaluating' some stuff now. I'm gonna pull down some off of Circle Of Snakes and see how I like it.

You?

I'm playing Slayer right now. I wish I had a smilie that was flowing up devil horns and headbanging!

Interesting about Glenn Danzig being a JKD instructor

***WARNING SOME FOUL LANGUAGE***

I wonder if it was before or after this? Oh well, anyone can get sucker punched...

Yeah, we are going to have a head-banging good time. Maybe I'll Slay-out of work that day and take the boy golfing. I know golf doesn't sound Slayish, but the neighbor doesn't have a dog to kill.

Slayer is my all time favorite band. However, Slipknot is a close 2nd. For music that is in keeping with the theme of this thread, check Yahoomusic.com for Slipknot and click Heretic Anthem in the video section. Awesome!

And while you are on yahoomusic, you might as well check out the only Slayer Video they have. Dittohead. That song will make you want to **** **** up. Personally, I don't think the ******* at yahoo could take too much slayer. Their clients computers would start blowing up like a bag of microwave popcorn.

On edit - I actually found a Napalm Death video!!! Cool. I'm glad that Slayer never went with the "Cookie Monster on Crack" vocals.

You guys are so behind the times.....

I went through this years ago when it hit the sixth year of the emporer Hesei (in Japan, when a new emporer takes his throne he is given an era name (Hirohito was called Showa) and the calender starts from the first year) and 6-6-6 wasn't that bad. According to my journal I was in Japan and met my future mother in law for the first time.

Wait a second...........

Sorry...I can't be dark or satanic today. Too much good stuff has happened lately :)

I did call Glenn, though, and wish him a Happy Slayer Day. He got pissed and hung up on me.
