This is stuff I wanted for Christmas when I was little.

  • Big Bruiser. A big truck with lights that squirted water.
  • Billy Blastoff. An Apollo era toy, Billy came with a built-in power pack that operated a lunar crawler and a few other vehicles.
  • Captain Action. Action hero doll. You could buy costumes for him -- Superman, Spider Man, etc.
  • The sixties era GI Joes included a soldier, sailor and airman. I had the deep sea diver's suit.
  • Johnny and Jane West. Westerns were still big on TV. This was a whole family of cow pokes. I had Johnny and Jane and their horses. My mom saved the horses, and my son actually played with them.
  • Major Matt Mason. Small bendable action figure. Another toy of the Apollo generation.

So what pushed your greed buttons when you were a sprite during the Holidays?

I remember wanting an Atari 2600 more than anything. I was out shopping the other day and found a used PlayStation game with a lot of the old Atari titles.

Some things you never forget ;)
