taeguks... why so linear?

I hope I can make me understand. Why the taeguks poomsae are so linear, I mean the patern of these at least from 1 to taeback are so linear some times in I shape some times in H shape,etc. For example the karate katas there are some that have diagonal and semi arc patterns.

I think it's because it's easier to learn and keep the H or I patterns, but just want to know your point of view.

They got fancy and made the taeguks follow the palquae symbols. If you look at each taeguk they actually make the symbol that they represent. At least they try to.:shrug:

That is my guess.
