It was 0200 hrs. and Oklahoma State Highway Patrol TROOPER PATRICK VENABLE, 26, was doing what he did best, keeping the highways safe when out of nowhere, a truck traveling at a high rate of speed almost crashes into his cruiser and then proceeds to head strai...ght through a closed construction zone on a bridge where there were about ten men actively working ...

Trooper Venable had been sitting about a half-mile from the closed off road with his lights flashing when a truck drove right through the traffic cones and was about to rear-end his cruiser. Trooper Venable put his car in gear and moved out of the way just in the nick of time. Patrick immediately made an attempt to stop this fool but the driver was oblivious to the lights and kept on his path to devastation. Using his training, Trooper Venable, a four year veteran to the OHP, attempted the first 'TVI' (tactical vehicle intervention) maneuver. Although it was done precisely, the driver of the truck managed to correct his vehicle and kept going. A second attempt ... same outcome. With just seconds left and only 100 feet away from this out-of-control driver plowing into these workers, Patrick knew he could not stop. Adrenaline flowing but keeping his cool, this Hero risked his life and went for it. He managed to pin the truck against the rail, forcing it to finally slow and stop ... with just 20 feet to spare. (dash cam video from this incident attached with link below)

As soon as Trooper Venable opened the driver's door, he detected the strong smell of alcohol. This lunatic, Isaac Siems, 21, had absolutely no clue that he was about to maim and possibly kill several innocent victims. It was later established that his alcohol level was .25!! He now faces several charges including failure to stop, obstructing an officer, and DUI.
