Well, that is one of the purposes of this forum, to discuss the merits or pro's and con's of that particular application without learning the hardway. And as Sensei Steve Scott pointed out, it is a judgement call. Some shimpans will let it go, and some shimpans will gig you for it. Just like happens at all shiai's!
