Whatever peoples politics when something like this happens we all feel for the parents. The Prime Minister and his wife will especially understand as they lost a child too. Privacy has been asked for but whether they get it or not remains to be seen, I've already seen one photo of David Cameron and his wife, both with anguished expressions, her near to tears. So sad.

Wouldn't wish this on anyone. My heart genuinely goes out to them. My little 2 year old girl had some pretty serious surgery last year, and events like this remind me of the mortality of my own child, not something any parent wants to ponder.

It is indeed a great sadness and it is utterly true that politics should play no part in this, their time of grief and the tabloid barracudas should stay well away.
