Cool story - a HS girl and her mom went out to a local pond so the girl could work on a photography project for school.

Unexpectedly she heard someone cry for help, and saw an ice fisherman had fallen in to the water. Mom called 911. The girl went to the edge of the pond, shouting to him and waving to keep his hopes up.

The fire department said that had the girl not been out to the pond to work on her school project, the fisherman would likely have been lost.

Instead, he was rescued...and expected to make a full recovery!

The human spirit is very resilient, and when given proper encouragement, can rally to newer heights. Yes, it was a very good thing that she was there at the right time. Good story.
