In an interview with Fox 10 in Phoenix, Parsons defended his actions, saying, "So be it; I'm not ashamed of what I did ... all these people that are complaining that this shouldn't happen, that these people who are starving to death otherwise shouldn't eat these elephants, you probably see them driving through at McDonald cutting a steak. These people don't have that option."

naturally the usual suspects jumped on his case. Some are looking at promissing monetary gains.

While I don't get much of the enjoyment to go out and kill animals, I don't much care for the smug Sr VP of international AR group judging how farmers somewhere in South Central Africa ought to deal with elephants destroying their crops.

(and I don't care for Go Daddy, but that other group is really high on my list of 'very strong antipathy')

The Elephants are not on an endangered species list, the Elephants destroy the crops of the villagers, the Elephant once killed is almost entirey used, the villagers eat the meant and the bones are sold...

You either are ok with hunting, or you are not ok with hunting.
This is really no different then hunting deer, people just have a much larger reaction since the elephant is so exotic to us in America, and because some types of Elephants are endangered.
I dont see the problem here though, PETA sucks, they are full of a bunch of hypocrites and wack jobs.

I generally hate agreeing with you boxer, but you're right. PETA is about not harming _cute_ and _exotic_ animals. If you're ugly and boring, they ignore you.

Maybe that's why there are so many sorority chicks in PETA. That sounds an awful lot their policy on me when I was in college.

Tonight, my dad's church is having a big game dinner: Bear, Boar, Elk, Venison, and whatever other tasty animals the hunters among them killed in the last year. They incorporate a raffle into it, last year, my 14 year old won a $700 rifle.
