Gaining the Most From a Seminar

Over the years I have encountered quite a few people who say they have difficulty remembering what they saw during a seminar. Here are a few ideas after attending an Arnis seminar.
Take notes that describe the technique in detail
Is it a right hand technique or a left
What is the first strike, #1, #2 etc
If the technique is beyond your skill level, let it go. Eventually you'll see it again.
Re-wright your notes no later than the next day
Compare your notes with your classmates who also attended the seminar
These are just some things I use. I know everyone runs into this so what are some other ideas you guys may have.
