Elderly Man Fights Back & Retrieves Stolen Wallet

Rocky Mount police say it happened at the Ashburn Inn on Highway 48 Friday evening. Officers say the 72-year-old man was paying the clerk for his room with a man grabbed the wallet out of his hand and ran out of the lobby.
The victim followed and told police he jumped on the getaway vehicle, fought the man for his wallet through an open sunroof and got his wallet back.

You know.....there are a lot of good arguments that could be made as to risk vs reward, or use of force over property........but I'm happy to hear this any damn way .

I'm glad that the man got his property back and that he was willing to fight for what belonged to him. I'm glad that he wasn't hurt in the process.
