More seriously, good compositions, Bob. I'm guessing you were pretty far back from the action so well done on bracketing the depth of field so well.

I shot these from the main walkway of the stadium. I was probably 100-200' back, I think. Had my zoom maxed out. These are all crops from the final shots.

(the access is sometimes hard to find...since the folks from the stands are not supposed to go down there...)

(you neglected the pitcher a bit: only in a picture can you see how they contort their throwing arm....explains why so many hurt their elbows...)

I had a couple drunks start screaming at me to move so I aborted early to avoid a beer shower on the gear.
I do have more pitcher shots....they make funny faces when throwing. Most are rather blurry.

No it's not...but I use it well.
If I shot more often Id get a longer reach zoom, like the 50-500mm, but no $$ at the moment to spare.

Just one more thing....
Might be an issue when yo get to be near the field...watch out for foul balls....
(and depending on the layout, the 'Bull Pen' area can give you some candid shots of a bunch of relatively bored relievers.....)
