Amazon has this device called the "Kindle". It's a portable device for reading text. At first I was skeptical aobut it but now it seems more and more people are giving it good reviews.

Apparently you can download books, pdfs and many other formats into it.

has anyone tried it yet? Did you like it or hate it? is it worth the price?

I really enjoy reading books on my PDA, but it isn't usable in bright sunlight. The Kindle is supposed to have fixed this. I'd be curious to try it. I'm a big fan of reading things electronically nowadays!

My biggest problem with the kindle is having to pay almost full price for books and as far as I know, not being able to resell the books, at least with paperback I can resell the ones I don't want to keep or donate them to a library...

It's a great idea, but I'm like Ping- you have to pay full price for a few bits of information. I'd wait, personally.
