Preparation Course for the Army- krav maga and Self-Defense

This preparation course for the army combines both physical and mental tactics which are important for recruitment into the army. At the Academy of Martial Arts of Ami Niv we prepare the pupils for the army from the beginning days of training camp of the specific combat units. This allows them to fit in easily into the very units that they are interested in and that they have dreamed about getting in to.

Enlistment into the army is one of the most exciting, yet stressful, events in the life of an Israeli citizen. First of all, the teenager leaves the home and starts on a new journey. This is a hard transition, full of uncertainties. The Academy of Martial Arts makes this transition easier because they already have an idea of the expectations and demands of the army. The strict discipline, the hard physical activity, and the harsh conditions of the field are just a few of the hardships that the soldier in a combat force has to deal with.

The initial introduction of the young soldier to the army brings with it confusion and stress due to the huge physical and mental demands. If the young soldier has no former preparation, then the possibilities of injury are great- including stress fractures, knee and back problems.
At the Academy of Martial Arts of Ami Niv, we understand and are familiar with the difficulties involved, and prepare each student step by step so that by the time he enters the army he is prepared and ready.

The course on army preparation offers many challenges such as: physical conditioning (aerobic, anaerobic, strength training), preparation for the "Bar Or" test, running, navigations, training carrying a stretcher on the back, contact combat, shooting, field conditions, first aid, and introduction into the basics of the army.

As such, the course puts a lot of attention on camaraderie amongst friends, such as: team work, leadership skills and carrying out projects together. In addition to the weekly training, there will also be seminars in the field over several days, where we will have meetings with combat soldiers and officers in the army.

Who is applicable?
This course is available to students in their last 3 years of high school who are interested in improving their physical conditioning before the army. It is not only for those who want to go into a combat unit, but for all those who want to improve their conditioning and prepare for the army. This course is also excellent for those interested in the top units ("sayarot") and for maximizing the chances of being accepted.
