Context: This was during my 1st degree black belt test back in 2020. This was after about an hour of very intense kihon and kata. The kata I was assigned was actually, in my opinion, the most physically demanding one in our style (Enpi). The dumb masks we had to wear made the intensity even worse.

By the time the video starts, I had already done two rounds of kumite. To summarize what the rules were, my opponents were simply instructed to "make me quit."

Spoilers: I passed somehow and got my black belt, albeit with a cracked rib and a dislocated knee.

I actually took up boxing as soon as my knee healed for this reason. Headwork alone helped me loads.
