Of Course My city isn't even near being on this list. It is a sad sad thing. :(

There were some surprises on there however.
 
I dislike the tendency people have to compare what they make to what others make and be unhappy or envious.

Another person's prosperity does not diminish your own.
 
Actually, the way capitalism works is winners and losers. In such an economic system, your success necessarily means somebody else's loss, if not failure.

And to really ice the cake, in our present economic system, the best-rewarded are seldom the best. I realize that the basic ideological assumption is that all those millionaires and billionaires are really better than the rest of us (if you're so smart, why ain't you rich?), and I'll maybe grant you Warren Buffet--but Dan Quayle?

It's a question of surplus value, and power. The guy with the most power gets to skim off the cream; the guy who gets to skim off the cream gets the most power.

Read "The Wall Street Journal." They'll tell you the truth.
