Some encouraging news for the Canadians

The Tories are looking to gut the failed and bloated gun registry, and just may have the support this time:

OTTAWA–Gun-control advocates say they are horrified and fearful that Canada's long-gun firearms registry is on the verge this week of being scrapped because the Conservatives may have enough support from the opposition to kill it.

Would be nice, but the damage and financial waste is already done. The other problem, history has proved that should the gun registry be removed they will still find a way too screw things up. What will happen too all the records I'm sure there will be scandal when its given too the wrong people. A friend of mine brought up the subject and stated that if the registry goes the Government will just put something worse in its place. Maybe an ammunition registry or tax.

I know there's plenty of reason for pessimism but don't lose hope. Remember, "incrementalism" can work both ways.
