I think it would probably be redundant ... I recall reading somewhere that Io, one of Jupiter's largest moons/satellites is roughly the size of Earth. But we've already seen how big our Earth is to Jupiter.

It is not redundant if one is looking at the Solar System as a complete system. This might lead to understand the size of the planet versus the size of its' satellites.
Also gives people something to think about that is much closer than say a few tens or even hundreds of light years.
