What is the rank structure of Ninpo? How many belts are there in the system?

In the system I train in there are 6 kyu and 10 dan ranks. Each kyu has a senior stripe though. so I guess in effect that makes it 12.

Okay first off white belt: Beginner. Simple so far. Then there is the green belt: goes from 8th up to 1st Kyu... nice. But then you can have a brown belt: Assistant instructor? May well happen. Then black belt: that is there also.
But let us not forget the star system and the badge to denote ranks. Personally I rather would forget the star just wear the belt.
