Popular culture and martial arts

I ran across the cartoon below while reading another site; the whole series can be seen here. How often have you found examples of martial arts in popular culture, and how does if affect you, if at all?

Outside the odd mention in the paper/add, I don't really find too many. Wait, does Human Weapon on History Channel count?

I have yet to see something more than an advertisement for some school, so it really doesn't affect me in any way... Although, I can see how it would appear to someone that hasn't had very little to no experience in martial arts. Some cartoons can be seen in a negative way to certain people- instead of drawing more practitioners, it could dissuade them. Just a thought. Some could, for example, think that martial artists are not very good, and wonder "why bother?"
