It is a reverse condom that fits in the woman. If she is raped, the cup has barbs that attaches to the attacker's man-parts and can only be removed by a doctor.
Critics don't like it, but I would love to have a word with a "critic" that wants to defend the rapist. This is a device that can ONLY work if someone is raping a woman. It's not like the device can attack innocent civilians.
