Does anyone know about a martial arts style that was banned in china, or japan. I cant remember which one it was. Either way, does anyone know what style it was. Much obliged.

Lots of styles have been banned at one time or another. Not just limited to one style, but rather a general ban.

I didnt know that, but I have herd, fairly recently about a bunch of fighters, I believe it was in japan, being arrested for openly practicing this certain style. Again it may be in china. I say fairly recent, meaning within the last year.

I'd double check your sources, there is more myth then truth in many martial arts circles.

Perhaps he's thinking of Falun Gong? But that's not a martial art.

True... Falun Gong / Falun Da Fa has been banned in China, but that's been in place for a couple of years now. Also true is they don't practice any MA, only some qi gong which I've heard from other qi gong practitioners as "shakey at best" & described as "qi ticklers". Think Yellow Bamboo...

I haven't heard of anything banned in Japan, but that's not the focus of my MA time so I could've missed stuff easy.
