The article titled: "Living to the Young Age of 100", by Carol Segrave,

Website: http://www.livingsouthernstylemagazine.com/

The article is three pages and discusses the fastest growing demographics in the USA. Those over 100. Currently from the US Census Bureau, 7/1/02
(* Article references this website: http://www.bumc.bu.edu/Dept/Home.aspx?DepartmentID=361 *)

In 2002 there were over 76,000 people over 100, with the expectation of 129,000 in the year 2010.

I am curious if people are making plans to live this long?

To help you the article also provided a chart for age:
(* Note: I am only copying, and do not know the reasoning *)

Begin with 78 (* The average life expectency today *) and add or subtract the following:

+1 All four Grand Parents over 70
+1 Both Parents over 70
+1 Both Parents over 80
+1 First-Born
+1 Education High School
+1 Education beyond High School
+1 Average Intelligence
+2 Superior Intellignece
+3 Stay Employed after 65 (Part-time, volunteer)
+2 Right Weight / Under Weight
-2 Over Weight
-2 Relative has Heart Disease
-1 You have heart disease
+5 Do not Smoke
-5 You Smoke or are around others who smoke
+3 Regular Exercise

+2 Sexually Active
+1 Physical exam regularly
-1 Major Disease

Just curious

91.

Yeah...right. I'll die by seventy-four of a stroke, with all the shots to the head I've taken.
Yeah but at least you won't be alone. I bet there's some people around here who've taken as many head shots as you... I got 98... ouch.

I got 96...it seems to be rating people fairly high. Good, I like an optimistic age calculator!

I got 99 without counting the Sexually active and or the working after 65. I plan to teach Martial Arts past that point, but I am not there yet. If I counted both of those it would 104. :) ;)

I got 98, could improve on that if I got a job after 65. huh! I would rather enjoy my life, tour the country, the world etc. Well, am working part, part-time as a bookkeeper. Do hobbies count? Does TKD instructor for a few hours a week count? Both of my grandparents lived well over 90. My mom is 87. Do we really want to live to 100????? At the rate I'm going with exercise, I won't have any knees to even walk on. TW
