Strikeforce has been scooping up fighters left and right in the second half of 2009. The big signings included Fedor Emelianenko, Gegard Mousasi and Dan Henderson. Those guys have combined for 83 wins and fought all over the world but it's a fighter with just six wins that has Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker as excited as anyone on his roster.

Muhammed Lawal has only been a pro MMA fighter since the middle of 2008 but he's already made a huge splash. Last night, he landed a cannonball by smashing veteran heavyweight Mike Whitehead.

Coker was smiling ear to ear as he talked about the guy he called his "first round draft picks." Lawal, nicknamed "King Mo," returned the love by giving his crown to Coker.
