Just a short intro of myself, and curious if within the large group of members here, anyone studied with or knows my former instructor.
I studied Kempo under Master Rafael Reston in Angeles City Philippines when the bases were still open there. I was fortunate enough to have been a contractor civilian, therefore was able to stay there for 10 years, 1975 - 1985. I studied under Master Reston for 9 years.
In that 9 years I saw many American servicemen come and go thru our gym. I can only remember the names of a few who stayed with us for a couple of years or more.
I know that prior to my interest in martial arts, and prior to my time in the Philippines, Master Reston taught hundreds of Americans from around the mid-60's until Pinitubo.
I still keep in touch with and visit Master Reston, the last time in March of 2002.
