That's fantastic! What a guy! What a nutter! I bet tropical storms are fun. Huh. Better than Middlesvilla anyway.

That's pretty creative. But yeah, I bet tropical storms are crazy on that thing. I wonder if he could sell it, and what price it might fetch?

It kind of reminds me, though totally unrelated, of a guy in California who tied a bunch of weather balloons to his lawnchair (complete with beer holder, of course, a b.b. gun rack and leather straps to hold him in) and let fly to an altitude of 10,000 feet (?) - my hubby told me about it. He figured if he started to pass out, he'd start shooting his balloons to reduce his altitude. They shot them down for him. he he he he he he he

Seriously, except for the aforementioned storm thing, this sounds like quite the gig!

His name was Larry Walters and he made it to 16000 ft. He was in the air for 14 hours and was saved after he had drifted out to sea and was in the approach corridor of LAX. A coast guard chopper got a rescue line to him and towed him to the ground. I have a few pictures and a copy of the article.
