greetings from Japan

Hey everyone, I'm in Japan! I'm spending a semester abroad to study. I want to know if anyone has had any experience training in martial arts in this country. I would especially like to know if anyone STARTED training in any specific art while here. I will attempt to continue my Judo, but I may pick up another system if I have the time. Is it possible to learn the basics of a system with a language barrier? My Japanese is alright(by that I mean just good enough to keep me from starving), but I could never decipher something like an Aikido koan.

While serving in the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa Japan. I studied Aikido and Jujusitu for a year there while at Camp Butler and Camp Hansen Areas.
