I was reading a book recently and came across an interesting comment. The author mentioned that there was some Chinese tradition among swordsmen that the Frontale bone (the one in the front of the skull) should not be pierced during combat, since that is where the spirit is connected to heaven.
I was just wondering if this was true (I've found a few falsehoods in his book so far). Has anyone ever been told/taught this? Does the belief still exist?
