EXECUTIVE PROTECTION 101

AN INTRODUCTION

Where? In beautiful Wilmington, NC Classroom work will be conducted in the hotel. Hands on training will be conducted all over the city.

When? October 8 9 & 10 of 2004

Why? Because contrary to popular belief executive/celebrity protection is a learned skill.

* Being an ex-police officer does NOT qualify you to do it!

* Being a private investigator does NOT qualify you to do it!

* Being ex-special forces does NOT qualify you to do it!

There are specific skills that must be learned as used and taught by agencies such as the US Secret Service, The Royal Protection Group, The Diplomatic Protection Group, The State Department etc to name but a few.

You will learn….

* Principles of Executive Protection

* Unarmed Defensive Tactics of the body guard

* Foot formations for small teams, large teams and the lone agent

* Vehicular mounting and dismounting for single vehicles & motorcades

The course instructor is Nick Hughes CPP. Nick is a former member of the French Foreign Legion who started doing crowd control work at rock concerts in Australia at sixteen years of age. He left Australia to break into diplomatic protection and ended up in French Foreign Legion as both a para-commando and military police officer. He later went on to become a body guard throughout Europe and protected members of the Saudi Royal Family, Rock & Roll artists, actors, diplomats and businessmen. He also accompanied US artist Peter Max to Russia. He regularly participates in executive protection schools both as an instructor and student to keep his skills up to date. He is now looking to train individuals that can be utilized later on various protective details
