Depends...

There's for rough starters:::

Baji Quan (Eight Energies Fist)
Bagua Zhang (Eight Trigrams Palm)
Bagua Quan (Eight Trigrams Fist)
Bafa Quan (Eight Methods Fist)
Babu Tang Lang Quan (Eight Step Praying Mantis)

etc....

Never heard of that one... doesn't mean much though. Got more info?

Not really..This training company contacted the department and one of the trainers said he teaches 8 fist kung fu and has intagrated it in his def/tec program..

Sorry Drac, but I am with clfsean, without more detail I can only come up with the same style clfsean gave you

No problems Xue..That's all the information I was given by my superior..I'm sure if it was a well known discipline someone would have known its name..A lot these training companies are real BS artists not Martial Artists..

Drac, it's likely ...

:bs:

A Google search came up empty. If Google can't even find it...

Could be anything. 8 is a big number in CMA :p All it takes is a non Chinese speaker to leave out the second word of baji, bafa, bagua, etc. and you end up with ba quan (8 fist :p).

Hey Drac,

Sorry to disapoint you.

I wasnt able to find anything that specifically relates to Ba Quan.

But however on the Martial Arts around the world website it does list a Ba Quan or in Cantonese Baat Kuen.

So it may still be out there.

Just because we havent heard of it doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

At one time i didnt even know that there was a yu huan tong long pai.

and I stumbled on that, it was thought not to exist.

I wish you good luck!

take care,
Chang

Thanks again everybody..A small handful of BS "cop trainers" will list a whole bunch of disciplines that they say they are familar with in an attempt to impress some department and be rewarded a training contract..
