The videos take some time to find a lot of sites have taken them off...does anyone know how to record these on you computer I have tried to download them but it doesn't let me
Well, until the third form I couldn't see the vids.
The fourth and the fifth forms are chin woo ones, aren't eagle claw forms. The name is there, but I believe that they are the same form.
The sixth and the seventh form also aren't eagle claw forms, they look different but, if I'm not mistaken, they are a form of Tam Tui. Note that they also were in the curriculum of Chin Woo.
The eighth is a saber form also from Chin Woo, so neither one of those that I talked, is a eagle claw technique.
Bak or Bei Shaolin Ying Jow Pai just references Northern Ying Jow Pai.
The forms consisting of Chin Woo (Wu) routines Luo. Is generally because of the connection that Lau Fat Mang had with the Chin Woo Association. At that time alot of culmination of Wu Gong Pai were taken to the Chin Woo Association.
So generally speaking alot of Northern Systems such as Qi Xing Tong Long Pai stemming from the Wong Han Fun lineage will have some of the Chin Woo routines, and Ying Jow Pai from the Lau family generally has some Chin Woo routines as well.
The Tan Tui (Tam Toy) was also incorporated in the various main lineages, such as Qi Xing Tong Long having both the original Shi Su Lo Tam Tui (14 section) and Shi Er Lo Tam Tui (12 section) or in Cantonese Sap Sei Lo Tan Tui and Sap Yi Lo Tan Tui.
Hope this helps.
Take note not to get the character for Bak(northern) confused with Pak(white) or Bai (white)
Very well said Changhfy, i was going to give a fast explanation why this forms were in the curriculum of the eagle claw but now I don't see the need for that.
The only thing that I think it's kind odd, is the names that are given to certain routines. Observe that some of them are named to be refered to the history of the eagle claw. I don't see why change the name of Tam Tui to Something O Fei(sorry, I can't remenber the rest).
And now I saw that the videos were removed, very strange, really strange. ¬¬
