Ars Gladii is looking for new members! AG trains in the medieval Kunst des Fechtens, or art of fighting, as described in the surviving manuals from 14th and 15th century Germany. We teach the use of the longsword, sword and buckler, poleaxe, dagger, and grappling.
Classes are held twice weekly: Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. All classes are currently held in Redford, MI.
I have been fencing for close to 14 years now, with the last 6 years devoted exclusively to the reconstruction of historical fighting arts. I have taught at national events on the subjects of the German medieval longsword and German medieval dagger fighting. I also have access to some of the finest researchers and teachers this field has to offer.
