I picked up a new hobby recently and just got started on my first project. I decided to pick up 1/18 scale diecast car models.

For my first try, I wanted to duplicate my instructor's car in that scale. I looked everywhere and could not locate a diecast 2002 Ford Mustang GT. To create the duplication, I am using the parts from two diecast models, a 2002 Ford Bullitt and a 2003 Ford Mach 1, to make the 2002 Ford Mustang GT.

I've started the disassembling process and swapped the parts. That's the stage I am in with my customizing process. Next, I will start the paint stripping. Soon will be the airbrush painting and detailing with decals.

So far, I'm having a lot of fun!

I'm curious whether there are other martial artists who enjoy models (either collecting or customizing).

I don't do it myself but my ex-father in law is BIG into it. He'll spend hours at a time sanding, priming painting and so forth. I've seen him re-build cars with some kind of putty like Bond-o to make cars that are out of this world.
