"And focus on my learning" Part of "learning" a martial art is where it comes from and how and why it is taught. Never going outside and seeing the art for what it is and how it got there does a disservice to you the student. It's more the memorization of the forms, kicks, and punches. It's learning about all sides of the art, it's history, and though that why you're memorizing what it is you are.
