I am going to start keeping a training journal for shooting. I have been told that this helps you reflect on what works and what doesn't. Keeps track of ideas and methods you have used.
I am figuring on the following format:
DATE:
Shots Fired: How many shots fired during practice
Result of shots fired: Not an amount but moreso how many 9's etc and what I did to fix shots to the left/right, etc.
Changes in stance: Any modifications I have made that I am going to keep doing, example of this is recently I started turning my right foot inward, it helps keep my hip locked and in position.
Equipment modification: Changes to site optics, etc.
Emotional state: How I was feeling.
Anything else anyone can add to help me keep an accurate record would greatly be appreciated.
Does anyone else do this and how do you find it helps?
