...has gotten worse each year, as expected. With international demand for lead and copper at an all-time high, it's no surprise that reloaders are feeling the pinch.

Back in 1998, I could buy 1000 of West Coast's copper plated 230 grain .452" bullets, for 70 bucks, shipped. These days, it's $126 / 1000 (through X-Treme Bullets, since that's WC's new name).

Fortunately, Berry's Manufacturing is still fairly reasonably priced, with 1000 of the similarly plated bullets coming in at under $90 / 1000.

yeah, it's sad...my dad and I reloaded when I still lived at home (7 or 8 years ago). Recently I was looking at components and was blown away by how much things have gone up.

My costs have gone up as well. I'm using cast lead now since most of my shooting is outdoors, a little smoky but the cost savings is substantial. I get 1000 LRN 124gr bullets for $42 from a local supply shop. Primers are about $20 per 1000. I buy powder by the bulk in 8lb kegs...$90 the last time I bought some but i'm sure the price has gone up (I'm estimating powder to be $15-$20 per 1000)

I estimate about 1000 rounds for $80.
