This only applies to people in their 40s through 70s. Sumo wrestlers' careers are long over by then. In fact, most of them go on very severe diets as soon as they retire so that they won't drop dead by the time they're 40.

I know but some of those guys are big after they retire, not as big as they were when they were fighting but still bigger than the 33.5" waist requirement. After all the training and carrying around all that weight they do have a lot of muscle under all that so when they loose it they still are not small. And some are pretty dam tall too so 33.5 is not going to be easy for some of them.

But then the title of the post was some what tongue in cheek and not literal.
