Vixen were the American version of Girlschool - an all girl band kicking in the sexist doors of rock and opening the way for others to follow. As well as looking absolutely divine in Vixen's heyday, Jan was a pretty good player too, so she sounded as great as she looked.
This saddens me possibly more than it normally would because of my all too up-close-and-personal battle with the cancer that took my glorious wife. Why oh why can we not beat this vile disease?
