Possible new treaty

Sounds like the treaty would be a good one for us to sign. Most Republicans seem to agree...it just seems a few on the farfarfar right are stopping it.

My guess is it'll go through...but Frist will trade something for his support.

With all the insubordination our government showed toward the UN and other countries, I'd be amazed if it worked and if it was valued as a treaty.
 
Alan Colmes in his book "Red, White and Liberal" points out that we've violated a number of UN sanctions and resolutions in the past. When Bush fires off at a young Irish interviewer about Sadaam violating sanctions, he should remember that WE'VE done it, too.

Case in point: Ronald Reagan, Iran/Contra.
