[h=1]Peer-Reviewed Survey Finds Majority Of Scientists Skeptical Of Global Warming Crisis[/h]Forbes EXCERPT:

It is becoming clear that not only do many scientists dispute the asserted global warming crisis, but these skeptical scientists may indeed form a scientific consensus.

Don’t look now, but maybe a scientific consensus exists concerning global warming after all. Only 36 percent of geoscientists and engineers believe that humans are creating a global warming crisis, according to a survey reported in the peer-reviewed Organization Studies. By contrast, a strong majority of the 1,077 respondents believe that nature is the primary cause of recent global warming and/or that future global warming will not be a very serious problem.

The survey results show geoscientists (also known as earth scientists) and engineers hold similar views as meteorologists. Two recent surveys of meteorologists (summarized here and here) revealed similar skepticism of alarmist global warming claims.
According to the newly published survey of geoscientists and engineers, merely 36 percent of respondents fit the “Comply with Kyoto” model. The scientists in this group “express the strong belief that climate change is happening, that it is not a normal cycle of nature, and humans are the main or central cause.”
The authors of the survey report, however, note that the overwhelming majority of scientists fall within four other models, each of which is skeptical of alarmist global warming claims.

Don't get sucked into Forbes misleading headline. Its a survey, and had nothing to do with real scientific peer review.

What a poor article, Forbes fail.

If a consensus means there is man made global warming it is only fitting that when a majority of polled scientists doubt it, the idea is discredited.

I would listen to the broader scientific community personally, maybe published via scientific journals with real peer review.

The article you supplied actually outlined the scope of the survey participants, and is not up to credible scientific scratch in my opinion.

I personally have no interest in the man made or natural aspects of climate change. But having a personal interest in science and understanding how real peer review works, I can tell you the person who wrote that article is full of ****, using misleading quotes, and lacks credible scientific understanding of the processes used.

Don't know what he hopes to achieve out of if let alone trying to shock readers into reading his articles.

I should add, I'm not having a go at anyone, just the article. You didn't state what you thought personal in the original post Don. I'm just disputing how much credit you should give the writer of the article.
