I have been lucky enough to be iplaced in a class with an international student from Japan. My family is also sponsoring his family, since his wife and 2 kids came with him.
I have wanted to learn Japanese for quite a while (originally to be able to teach karate better, now to communicate with my friend) and now seems like a good time to start, finally.
Can anyone recommend a good program for learning to speak japanese (Rosetta, etc) that helped them or someone they know?
