Well, I had my first tournament experience today. I would say that I loved it.
It was suppossed to be our school and another but the other school never showed. We went ahead without them.
My daughter and son competed against the other juniors and my daughter earned 2nd place in forms, sparring and weapons. My son got 1st in sparring, 2nd in weapons and 4th in forms. I am very proud of both of them.
I competed against a 16yo girl as there were no other 40yo color belts. LOL I did my sparring (one steps) against a teenage boy who is a white belt but has definate experience. I'm not sure what but he is no novice. Anyway, I got 1st in weapons and 2nd in forms and sparring.
Needless to say I will be competing again. We have a large regional tournament in Atlanta in July and I will be there.
