A convicted felon (what was he in prison for?) paid the price Friday in Chicago when he tried to rob an ultimate fighting champion. (Learn more about the sport.) For his efforts, Anthony Miranda, 24, suffered facial cuts and two black eyes and was shot in the ankle (how did it happen?). The fighter's name was not released.

Highly unlikely that this dirtbag will have learned his lesson, but given the beating he got, stranger things may happen...lol. I'm glad all turned out well for the MAist. This could have been a very ugly situation.

Asked about his training, Justin offered only vague hints at his background: “Former military,” “high-risk training,” “Hostage rescue.”

If true, the mugger did indeed pick the wrong guy. Big time. Glad it turned out so very very well.
