Looking for a practice Kris

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a wooden or plastic kris to practice with? Something that can withstand weapon to weapon and weapon to equipment contact.

J.A.K.S. made trainers for me. Jay Arnold is a 2nd generation knifemaker under his cousin Joe, a voting member of the Knifemaker's Guild. If you're interested in some of the work check it out at:

These are small tactical knife sizes made from a liner lock folder.

These are some other shapes and sizes.

J.A.K.S. can be reached to make almost ANY shape trainer knife out of aluminum and other materials at (519)690-0597.

Joe arnold can be found at

Jay however specializes in training knives for martial arts use.

Training with wooden-plastic weapons is a poor habit....
real men fight with sharp weapons

No more seriously, if you always train with wooden-plastic weapons you may be in trouble when you meet the real thing.

You will be better prepared (less nervous) if you trained with metallic non cutting blades....
