Does any one have any sources on legality of Ma in different states and countries? Im a relative newbie to the net and have no Idea on where to look.

One example that I have found is the fact that in California if you have an intruder in your home or dwelling that you must BY LAW inform them that you are skilled, and warn thaem about lethal weapons that you may be carrying and consequences, or your assailant can sue you in court.

does any one else have any more sources?

Always remember, with any self defense situation, there is one guy on the ground and one guy looking at him. Who goes to jail?
It may take some time to figure that out.

Also remember, there may be no criminal liability: the State and it's representatives are trying to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone has violated a statute, passed by the legislature of that state (Federal crimes, the US vs. defendant, laws passed by the House and Senate), but there may still be a civil lawsuit (which is plaintiff vs defendant). The results of each are very different.
