And people think XMA is new hehe
Although the style is 100% more Chinese than most XMA, and I dare say they work quite a bit harder. Although, some of those kids spending hours on end trying to pull of those tricks heh. Hey, when I was that age it was skateboarding We could do worse.
Seeing that kid doing near flawless forms (?) goes to show why this man became 7 (9?) time national champion in his home country. Then it helps to explain why many of his movies are exciting to watch. One of the vids, where he's suspended himself from a tree doing pull-ups (?) made me think... oh ok he's in training for all that wire work he's going to be doing in later movies.
Still Li is a dynamic performer and a supurb MA-ist IMO. Always fun to watch him.
What is really scary and good at the same time is the Chang Quan form he is doing looks very much like the form my teacher wanted to teach me next... Which between that and the 1 handed cart wheel in the sword in my hand, the form I was learning at the time I said. Ya know, I think Id do better to focus on Tai Chi, Xingyi and Bagua.
Bagua is gone but Tai Chi and Xingyi are still here.
