I live in neither of those countries, so I do not have a voice in what they do. However, the old saw about "they do it" as if that somehow makes it OK for us, is something that my children used to say all the time when they were little. I'll tell you the same thing I used to tell them, as well as my Boy Scouts ... That's ridiculous. Justifying what you do based upon what others do is to attempt to avoid your own responsibility. Determine what the right thing to do is whithin the context of your own life, then do it. That is called personal responsibility, and is something we need mcuh more of in this country.Preach that to China and India....
