Does it matter if you are training with double sticks that one stick is slightly thicker than the other? Im talking about about 1mm difference and about 20-30grams in weight difference, or should both sticks be identical? These are hardwood sticks I am talking about.

Actually, I think this difference in size would be beneficial. It is doubtful you would ever be able to pick up two objects to fight with that would be identical in all dimensions. This would help you to be more rounded in all aspects of impact weapon fighting. Just me 2 cents worth.

I like to mix it up and train with many different sticks.

These guys beat me to it. FMA is about realism and versatility.
