Looking to purchase a heavy bag soon was wondering if i should go for a muay thai bag or boxing bag. Muay thai bags seem to be much more expensive didn't know if they have an added benefit to them. The design seems more kick friendly but i've never kicked one.

If you're wanting to practice low kicks, then the muay thai bag will be much more useful. If you're just wanting to work your punches, then there's no advantage.

combat sports has some thai bags often on sale for $100, i have one & it's working very well.

what brands are they?

From what I've seen, generally the muay thai bags are heavier/thicker.

hey mate,
if you do muay thai, there is no point in getting a boxing bag. you need a longer bag to practice your kicks on and for conditioning.
full length bags are more expensive but more worth it imo as you can get much more use from it.
