I've just read that the main island of Japan was hit by a magnitude 7 earthquake last night. Here's hoping that none of our Martial Talk members were injured or had property damage during the earthquake. I lived in California for a year for school while I was in the military and woke up most mornings with something or other in the room shaking a little bit but I can't imagine a 7.0 or a 7.3 like japan had in 2000. To all of you in the area, Good luck and good health.

:) Thanks for your concern. I live in Sendai which was at the centre of the quake. The walls were shaking. I was trying to keep our plates on the shelves- sucessfully (Unfortionately most of my friends had broken plates etc.).

Fortionately although the quake was a big one it wasn`t close to the surface, so luckily no major damage.

We are still due a BIG quake in Sendai from the major fault line in the city. Hopefully that one will also pass off with little damage.

Cheers Dom
