I would also say to check out Punong Guro Bob Manalo. He is a member of the International Esckrima Serrada Association (IESA).
Though I have only had the pleasure of attending a seminar with him, he has a wealth of knowledge and great at teaching.
My Punong Guro speaks very highly of PG Manalo and I can see why.

This is true. Daly City is pretty much all Filipino.
Some may disagree but I'm a firm believer that much of the Filipino way revolves around the dinner table. The Bay is a great place to start the training and eating...err culture immersion.
